A pure mulberry silk potli with a well designed handle in pure mulberry silk fabric that is handwoven in our quaint clusters of the Bagalkot district, on looms that also weave our sarees and dupattas. The front of the potli bears the regal "Gandaberunda" motif in brilliantly done Negi Kasuti hand embroidery. The motif of the mythical two-headed bird first seen on coins of the Vijaynagar empire. This symbol still flies high as the symbol of the seat of power in the state of Karnataka.
