5 - Khunn Cutwork Dupatta

An original and classic KaleNele wonder with a design twist, the Khunn cutwork dupatta. This dupatta has been designed to include vertical borders on the loom in jewel tones that the region is famous for. They are embellished with cutwork executed with absolute precision by the deft hands of our kaarigars adding that "something magical".

Gubbis (sparrows in the language Kannada, these were traditionally used in a baby's cradle to entertain the little one) are used as trinkets or rather tassels at the end of the dupatta adding to the element of design as well as weight that makes the dupatta drape oh-so-beautifully.
