Our Kasuti embroiderers with their meticulous attention to detail and the stitch, embroider the chariot that is pulled by devotees during festivals of their land. If you pay attention to the 18x18 cushion covers, you can see how beautifully the details such as the men pulling the chariot, the wheels and the chariot itself in all its grandeur is captured in this quaint embroidery form. This cushion cover comes in bold Indian jewel tones - blue, yellow, fuchsia and red. KaleNele works with a group of women who are based in Dharwad and who come from distressed lives and backgrounds. We train them through a NGO called RAPID, so that it can help them have a livelihood. Each purchase goes a long way in supporting our mission.
